I think it was Maddow's or O'Donnell's show, so I don't have that reference. But there's this:
A higher death rate among (politically motivated anti-vax) MAGA would be expected given the circumstances. What's important is that the MAGA's are doing this to themselves. Those that support public safety and an end to the pandemic have advocated that everyone be vaccinated.
@TheMiddleWay What is your concern here? Do you think the rates are equal? Do you think the issue is put out for nefarious reasons?
Speeding up the natural selection process. Too bad they don’t believe in evolution, they might understand how that works.

I just read that NYT article this morning. Apparently, deaths were rather even the first year of the pandemic, and then after the vaccines became widely available, the rates quickly diverged. Red areas are expected to not have death rates go down for a while. From what I've read, conservatives early on were eager to spread lies about the vaccines, in order to kill off as many people of color as they could. Then, to their horror, the tables turned on their own ignorant voter block. Hmmm...could this affect the next elections?
