When religious folks casually “bless us” or “pray for us,” is it better to say “thanks, but I’m not religious,” or to just say “thanks.”

I always just say thank you, because I am sure they are coming from their heart. As naive as it seems to me, I think they truly believe it is the best thing they can offer, especially in times of adversity or crisis.
