From Freedom From Religion Foundation - Hair of the dog and today’s world.
Hair of the dog that bit you
By Dr. Karen Heineman

You can cure a hangover with “hair of the dog that bit you.” Or can you?

Advice to drink more alcohol to reduce the effects of already having had too much alcohol seems contrary (and unwise). I thought of this ironic phrase when Donald Trump was soundly booed at a rally where he took credit for the Covid-19 vaccines and encouraged his supporters to get vaccinated. As president, Trump fueled a narrative downplaying the pandemic and the need for a collective response. Now, the followers of the movement he spearheaded will not accept his suggestion that vaccination is necessary or protective.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation advocates for vaccination. To control the virus and end the pandemic, people must get vaccinated. Unfortunately, the novelty of the vaccines has been used by some to support ill-informed opinions. These have easily proliferated via the internet, capitalizing on the fear of anything new and saturating the news and social media with disinformation to advance an anti-vaccine movement.

I won't comply because I know what's best for me and my circle of love ones. The world order only cares about more for themselves and less for us.

Good. I don't want them to comply. I'll paraphrase Goldfinger by saying, "I want them to die."

Perhaps we could encourage the GQP to look upon all modern medicine as demonic to help Darwin out.

@racocn8 Yes. Simply agree with them, outright, that Satan has provided a new drug to weed out the Christians and laugh as they refuse it. Satan would laugh, right?

@rainmanjr

Why does not complying, a religious thing.
I don't comply because ultimately my choices in life for my own health is most important. I don't think the source of the Vaccines coming from the worst criminals of humanity is not healthy at all, pretty well opposite. I know so much more about my own body and mind than any doctors could possibly know. Or what goes on behind my eyeball and the complete knowingly of my body experiences. It's a good part of business treatment naturalpath lifestyle alternatives.

@Castlepaloma I never did have much use for the gop but, now that they're the Q-Party, I have zero desire for them to remain on this planet. They want me dead so I hope the virus (or anything else, really) kills them first. That is also logical and quite natural. So please go ahead and trust your knowledge of self. Maybe you're right (and maybe not).

@rainmanjr
Lost my art industry of 45 years due to covid mass destruction..
Today Natural medicine and foods for pets and humans is more my work now. The covid model of health is by far worst thing ever happened for health and humanity,. Couldn't have even imagine ever anything like this would happen in my lifetime and most do except the filthy super rich.
Wouldn't wish anyone dead, because it's not for my ethical practices and the whole body and lifestyle well being practice.

@rainmanjr
The covid has shut down my sculpture industry. More of my business now is natural medicine and foods for health markets for humans and pets. I couldn't possibly want anyone dead , that's beyond hate and my ethics. It's why I'm a agnostic Anarchist finding better answers and solutions in the middle grounds of the two extremes.

Not anti- anything, just not for this guinea pigs experiment and the damages on every part of life, is not worth one nasty flu

@Castlepaloma I have nothing to do with who lives or dies. Nor how it occurs. I merely accept that death is a commonality throughout all life forms that we know of so not unusual. I rejoice at Zen's taking them back into The Tao's stream where, as electrons, they do not die at all. Being okay with something is not the same as wishing for it or wanting it. It merely is and I'm okay with that.
