No, it's not the newest superhero in the Marvel universe, it's the latest lethal covid variant about to sweep the U.S. and the world.
Already, in three weeks, it accounts for 73% of new infections, and is about to spike the spike in the Delta spike, and no doubt overwhelm hospitals already reeling and staff exhausted by over TWO YEARS of this pandemic.
For those keeping score at home, covid's killed over 800,000 Americans and counting.
Even amoung the vaccinated, 30% haven't gotten that critical third shot, so lots of breakthroughs will happen as well.

Had everyone gotten vaccinated, of course, that number would be far less and ANY spike in cases and deaths would've been extremely mild by comparison.
Of course, our own AA Clown Car will bubble back up like gaseous fumes out of a tar pit, with their usual specious, ridiculous conspiracy theories and fake "data," but there's NO DOUBT it's a bunch of hot air.
No doubt that if this politically-motivated "resistance" to the vaccine hadn't emerged, the worst, for Americans anyway, would've been over long ago.

So thanks again, Fox newsaholics, hundreds of thousands more will almost certainly die and the economy continue to sputter because of your unforgivable callous pettiness, it being a MAJOR PART in this slow-motion nightmare.
