Depends on where you go. In my land of "Minnesota Nice", those of Nordic descent tend to be way too grim. But then, there are some rebels lilke me, who commit the sins of joking, laughing, belching, farting and swearing.

I am a woman with an eccentric sense of humor. In the 80's I expressed my bizarre sense of humor when I joined a theater group. We did street theater. Whenever a "family values" celebrity came to town, such as Phyllis Schafly, we would appear, wearing pink frocks, pillbox hats, lacy aprons, white gloves and ropes of pearls. We carried signs that read "Born to Clean", "I'd rather be ironing", "Suffering, not suffrage", "Babies, not Ballots", "You are nobody until you are Mrs. Somebody", "Obey authority, Father knows best", "Sperms are people too - outlaw condoms, vasectomies, spermicides, masturbation, hot baths and tight underwear." We would chant "Keep this country on the track - one step forward, three steps back!" and "Who me, I 'm no queer - I have a baby every year!" The Family Values people would tell the reporters and photographers "don't go talk to them ... they are mocking us!"

I do stand-up comedy sometimes tell jokes or ad-lib in between verses of songs when i do karaoke, and get told i am funny all the time........oh, wait......

Yes, they laugh when they see me naked.

I have a sense of humor. But humor is relative, apparently.

Good Lord. There are so many things that are already expected of us and we have to have a sense of humor too??

But you're right, I also find cis hetero women seriously lacking in humor..unless, like me, they have a generous dose of male traits. My cis hetero female friends and relatives used to laugh at some jokes, but ones that relate to them. But my mom didn't get most jokes.

Like men do with women, I constantly crack jokes, and as it does with men, it attracts women. I suppose a strong humor instinct is an indication of levels of testosterone, since all my life it seemed to inspire even straight women to get crushes on me, and I'm a demisexual with no sexual attraction for anyone or any gender.
