Is capitalism just a version of cannibalism?
No. It is a pre-monarchy system. Once the “winners” are established and can effortlessly manipulate the system it effectively becomes plutocracy. Then it’s a matter of time before they figure out the highlander rule.
Metaphorically, yes I can see that. I'm waiting for the point that the top 20% or wealth holders realize that if others had more than they currently have that the economy would be a whole lot better. The idea that the stock market is the best gauge for the economy is wrong. The best gauge is real life spending, and that includes everyone also, not all people are even invested in the stock market. If you allow the bottom 80% to have more money to spend they will spend it and therefore increase the economy. Economy is money changing hands not a few having it all.
So the top 20% or so are eating the bottom 80% alive by making everyday life cost more and screwing them on home loans, credit cards, not paying a living wage so many people are living paycheck to paycheck, and health care costs, well don't get me started there, I work an extra job just to pay my premium and I don't even go to the Dr. but once a year. We are being robbed.
Understanding capitalism is one thing, doing something about it is another! Well said!
um, im not sure what you mean. cannibalism is eating your own species, i don't even see what capitalism has to do with eating at all, let alone what one specifically eats. im sorry, if i had a bit more of an understanding of what you are refering to, i may be able to give you a better answer. but that is the best ive got given what information there is too work with.
It's survival of the fittest. It's the only system that works because it follows the laws of natural selection. I wouldn't call it cannibalism, winners don't literally eat the losers.... Yet.
Never thought of it that way, good observation.
