Now what? Russia has cast aside all pretense and launched a full scale invasion of Ukraine.
Will the world just say, "Tut. Tut. Naughty boy! No pocket money or sweeties for you this week."?

Seems like. The risk of WWIII is high. I think that NATO countries should bomb the shit out of the Russian troops…it should have started yesterday…the minute they set foot in
Ukraine.

Agreed. If nothing is done "physically", how long before China invades Taiwan?
The West has allowed avarice to weaken itself. It has collapsed its home manufacturing ability in favour of cheaper outsourcing to the point of being irrevocably dependent on China - and China knows this!

@Petter You are 100% correct. If a simple person like me can see that, wtf is wrong with world leaders?

@MsKathleen Pure avarice in that they rely on political "donations" - from the people who profit by wrecking the long term survival of their own countries.

That's about the size of it. Under the best of circumstances, Ukraine would become a popular cause attracting mercenaries and gun nuts eager for a challenge, kind of like Spain's civil war. Ukraine sees itself as having been at war since 2014, and had been under a Putin stooge before that. While many have suggested that Ukraine will defend itself, my own bet is that they will fold quickly to get back to semi-normal (if pathetic, undemocratic) existence.

(Will the US population stop the Republican fascist election subversion that is ending our own democracy?)

The big problem is "outsourcing" by almost every technology company. The West has hardly any production capacity now. It cannot go to war. It is toothless. Thanks to big corporations like Apple etc.

Yup. I have been belaboring this for years. No one listens. Politicians and corporations have a near-sighted view of the profit margin.

seems like Cuba in reverse to me?

Kennedy needed. He would quite likely have armed a stack of missiles, aimed at Moscow, and said "one step into Ukraine, and we fire them". Putin would know he wasn't bluffing.

China is propping up Russia for all of the sanctions imposed. After Russia is done, China will take Taiwan with Russia’s support because Biden is weak as shit and won’t do a damn thing about it.
