I totally acknowledge that I need fixing and have been working on it for years. The best fix so far has been getting rid of religion.

Which is why I no longer listen to unsolicited criticism from anyone who isn't paying my bills.
Haven't done that in a very long time.

It's also a contributing factor as to why I keep my circle small.
No one in my circle would do anything like that, to anyone.

Once people start realizing that they can't get away with their bullshit with you, they tend to leave you alone.
Also, strategic placement of "fuck off" can be extraordinarily helpful.
