Boris Johnson has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of committing war crimes in Ukraine.

At Prime Minister's Questions, he said bombing innocent civilians "already fully qualifies as a war crime".

He was responding to the Scottish National Party's Ian Blackford, who called for Mr Putin to be prosecuted.

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has already accused Russia of war crimes after air strikes on the country's second city, Kharkiv.

A week in to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, attacks on key cities have intensified, with fighting raging in the north, east and south.

On Tuesday, Boris Johnson described the tactics used by the Russian military under orders from Mr Putin as "barbaric and indiscriminate".

I agree, and I think Putin is gonna get his ass whipped all the way.

Man, I hope so. But there is no telling what a lunatic with atomic warheads will do.

Mr Johnson/ UK has no credibility to condemn war crimes. Is Blair locked up?
Every use of a predator drone in a country that you have not declared war on, with associated civilian "collateral damage" is a war crime.

Explain. Your reply is ambiguous.

@Petter If Ukraine was populated by brown people rather than white, and not situated in Europe, no-one would give a shit.
The UK is happy to supply Saudi Arabia arms to "intervene" in Yemen. Blair was part of the WMD lie in Iraq. NATO destroyed Libya.
All for prosecuting war crimes, crimes against humanity, but lady liberty requires an even hand.

PS I'm Australian, and the treatment of Assange is a war crime. So when the US and UK start preaching about war crimes, I'm tempted to tell them to fuck off.

@puff Blair and Bush are both war criminals.
The treatment of Assange is not a war crime, but it is despicable.
Yemen has been an unstable, warring region for hundreds of years, and only "relatively peaceful" when dominated by a greater power. Think of Aden 60 years ago when Britain left.
Australia, too, is guilty of ignoring the plight of non-caucasian people and events not on its doorstep.
I, by the way, am from Kenya.

@Petter When Pompeo declared wikileaks a non-state intelligence service, this allowing the full force of the CIA to pursue Assange (even considering assassination), I think his continued detainment could be classed a war crime eg crime against humanity (even though it's only a singular human).
If you want to talk white supremacy/ privilege, look no further than "5 eyes" of which my country is guilty as sin.

@puff ... but you must admit that a lot of terrorist activity and state sponsored crimes have been pre-emptively thwarted by FVEY.

@Petter So they like to tell us. Used to maintain their power status quo as far as I can tell. Our relay at Pine Gap was used to direct the predator drone which assassinated that Iranian general in Iraq. That makes Australia complicit in US crimes.
