We need the price of oil to be about $150.00 a barrel for the Canadian sands to be profitable. The Koch brother has a large investment in these sands and if they were profitable they would be being used.
I do not understand the delimna as we are the largest exporter of oil in the world. Prices are high because they can be made high. Since there is a war on many will not question the costs.

Curtailing leases on federal land and blocking pipelines will definitely have the effect of making oil higher. With the current idiot we have in office I’m sure oil will be 150 dollars a barrel before long.

Anyone who has been paying attention to recent, like the last 50 years, knows you are wrong, history shows this to be true and you might want to open your mind and read something relevant.
Obama made us energy independent with fracking. We should not be buying oil from Russia when we could buy it from SAUDI ARABIA our "allie". Then there is our other neighbor, a part of NAFTA which is Mexico, better known as The United States of Mexico (Estados Unidos de Mexico)? Oil quality varies in different regions. I am glad you posted here as I am banned from all of the RePudliKlann groups so I can never challenge you in a friendly manner. Hahaha.

Obama did nothing to help domestic US oil production. In fact he repeatedly said we could not drill ourselves out of an oil and gas shortage. What happened is that US oil producers developed new horizontal drilling and fracking techniques. This opened up a lot more oil and gas production that had before been uneconomical to produce. That is what brought about the production of a lot more oil and gas and made the US the largest oil producer again.
If the Saudis are our allies (lol) why don't they flood the market which will drop the bottom out of Putin's oil revenues? Aren't the Saudis rich enough to support the Great Satan's requests? Shucks. I wish I had renewed my soldier of fortune membership.

We no longer support the Saudi’s in their war against the Iran backed rebels in Yemen. Both Israel and the Saudi’s oppose the deal we are trying to make with the radical Iranian regime so why would the Saudi’s help us.
