At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent. Barbara Bush

I regret the things I didn’t do not the things I did do.

I regret some dumb stuff I did. Mostly as a teenager.

I learned from my mistakes. I don't regret anything.

no, as I will be dead and there's no way of even knowing everything let alone doing everything.

And you probably won't be wishing you had spent more time at the office.

There was a huge black board put up in a park in a city (I forget which one) and on it was written "I regret that......" The people who stopped to comment almost always commented on the regret they had from not doing something they wish they had as opposed to regretting something they did that they regretted. It is so easy to put off what is right there for us, thinking that it will always be within our reach. This is a bit off the original post but I think it fits in.

Unless you want to fill your life with new exciting and interesting experiences rather than devoting your life to someone else.

Those new exciting and interesting experiences mean nothing if they are not shared with others.

@bobhoff59 They mean everything to me. I love my adventures. Why should they not mean anything? I don’t understand

@Fanburger but they are infinitely better shared.

@Fanburger, @KenG because human beings are by their very nature social being. If that wasn't the case no one would be needing this forum to have social interaction with other agnostics and atheist.

@Fanburger human beings are social beings by nature. It is the only way we survived as a species. The loners are the weak links that get killed off because they do not help the species survive. It is a cruel truth.

@Fanburger it is not in human nature to kill their own kind.

@bobhoff59 you’re conflating scenarios.

@bobhoff59 not always

@KenG I am speaking about our evolution as a species which would. It have been successful with a bunch of loners. It only worked because we were social animals and had strength in numbers. Without that characteristic we would be a fossil blip in evolutionary history.

That's so the truth just said it was not so proudly shown until she died her wisdom in that clip put together after her death.
