Your outrage is valid if it is because of our lack of courage in support of Ukraine. All the military strategists have failed to recognize that Putin is a tyrant and unless he dies soon, we will either live in fear of his whim & threats or we will end up in open war with him sooner or later. It may be thought that later would be better. But if left to later Putin will be more powerful and prepared, and the US will likely be less so. It is never a good idea to let your opponent decide on the when & where of a battle. It is better to catch them off guard.
