None of the people who have written these comments is a true Christian. A true Christian would accept and love a person who sincerely did not believe in God. These people would bring tears to Jesus’ eyes. (To answer your unspoken question, I think there was a historical Jesus, but I reject the idea that he was divine.)

Some Athiests and people that are not fruitcakes may find the above comments to be highly offensive, disturbing, as well as hypocritical and morally reprehensible. But I think they are hilarious examples of why I would never want to be associated with any organised religion or followers of fundamentalist nuts... Even if I did believe in a god. Furthermore even if there was a Hell..these poor excuses for Human beings would be high up in the queue.

Most Protestant Christians don't buy into the teachings of Jesus. The Old Testament is what they love and it is chock full of hate and murder. It is an incredibly violent and hateful book.
