This site looks interesting so far. It's extremely difficult to find anyone likeminded, much less a potential interest, here in the Bible belt. When I was a musician at a megachurch, there was an overwhelming amount of women who were single. In this small-town area it is nearly impossible to find anyone who identifies as a freethinker, or at least skeptical believers.

Having lived in Texas most of my life I can't think of anywhere I lived that religion wasn't prevalent. It's funny though since moving to West Texas I haven't been asked what church I go to, but got asked all the time in corpus Christi

That is incredibly strange that you haven't been asked that question here in west Texas, especially in San Angelo. My situation is uniquely different in that since I was a highly involved musician when I used to live here over a decade ago, I have been bombarded on a weekly basis since I recently moved back by old friends and acquaintances that still live here asking which church do I go to now, am I still playing music, or they really want me to be in their band and/or church worship band. However, I do see where this town is slowly progressing. It's 10-15 years behind, but slowly catching up.

Welcome! I'm unfortunately getting a divorce after 20 years. I just moved to a town of about 4,000. As I am an atheist activist I have resigned myself to just accept that I am simply "off the market."
