He is very funny. I wouldn't say he is a George though; I would be willing to bet that even he would agree.

Agreed. Nobody is Carlin's equal when discussing our corrupt leaders and rigged system.. Other comedians seem too prone to going easier on one major party over the other, while Carlin knew that neither one deserved any respect or trust, because they were owned by the same people and serve the same people. He was honest and cynical enough to realize that putting hope into either party was a waste of time.
He is very quick-witted and smart, that's why he is so good with the hecklers. That is probably his best part of his comedy. He's almost as funny with them as Jordan Keppler is on The Daily Show where he shreds the idiot MAGA people at Trump rallies with most of them having no idea how idiotic he makes them look.
