About an hour ago decided to take a break from splitting, carrying and stacking firewood and sit on the front veranda, enjoy the sunshine, have a coffee and just rest for a spell.
Well about 3 minutes in to my smokoh session the mailman passes my house and, judging by the sound of his Honda motorcycle, stops at Evangeloons house.
He switches of the motorbike, something he rarely does and then next thing I hear is the sound of someone knocking on door or a wall.
A few seconds go by and I hear, "Please sign this form to acknowledge receipt of the the envelope I am about to give you."
I guess the "loon must have signed for the envelope because a few seconds later the motorbike starts up and I hear it go away.
THEN the storm, so to speak, broke.
Within seconds there came a very raised and raging voice screaming, not yelling, but screaming, " You Bitch, you mob of Bastards, you filthy mongrels, I am a member of the Payne family, you can't disown me, you can't cut me out of the family like some doctor cutting out a mole on your skin, how do you lot expect me to live on the fking dole only, do you EXPECT me to get a job or something, for Christ's fing sake I have electric bills to pay, water rates, council rates, car insurances and registrations to pay, I've got nearly 10 grand in f*ing fines to pay, my house is frigging freezing cold because my wood-fire needs repairing and now you aren't gunna send ME any more money, you Cts, I hate you."
With that I decided that it was a far better idea to head back around to my wood pile very discreetly and have a quiet but enjoyable laugh to myself.

Oh dear.

Poor Evangeloon.

How sad.

(Time for a coffee)

And I thought I had had an awful neighbor. We had a neighborhood party when she moved, after she couldn't put in a pool without neighbors granting her a waiver from borough rules. She was crazy as well - and a drunk. She sued us after we reported her for abusing her kid. The cops were at her place, often. (They said they once caught her having sex with her great dane).
Best of luck mate.

Was she a “good Christian” too?

@Barnie2years At a guess I'd say most likely.

@Barnie2years An ex JW. No religious problems, aside from abusing her daughter.

He played nasty games and now finally has won his nasty prize. No one can say he didn't earn it. lol

"He played nasty games and he ... won nasty prizes" - I like that.

@anglophone He has lost his financial stability so...maybe the house too?

@Betty I would need to look into the insolvency laws in this country, but I find it conceivable that he would lose not only his house but also all his other assets, the latter including his financial assets. At the very least, he might find himself homeless and on the streets of Broken Hill. He might also be sectioned. If he is sectioned, I would not like to be the psychologist charged with treating him.

@Betty Oh we of the neighbour hood can only hope that will be so.

@anglophone Poking into that man's head would be like navigation a nuclear waste dump. I would not envy the psychologist/psychiatrist tasked with that job. Being committed would probably be the best thing that could happed to him.

@Betty Your words are wise.

@anglophone Why, thank you kind sir. (As I curtsy)

I get the feeling that he is closing in on a breaking point.
You be safe.

As always, am staying 100% safe.

You don't happen to have a vacation coming up anytime soon do you? Like in the next town maybe?

No but I am planning on buying a NEW hammer, two large, thick and solid lengths of timber and some 9 inch nails just in case an Evangeloon decides to become a martyr though....LOL.

@Triphid How terribly ... CROSS ... of you! 😉

@Triphid Sounds like a plan.

That is fucking hilarious!

On a more sober note, his sense of arrogance, his sense of entitlement and his refusal to do anything to help himself is really rather sad. The psychological pressure is mounting, and I guess you are best placed to both predict and observe any mental breakdown.

Yes and I'd estimate that he will decide to vent his anger and frustrations, etc, etc, by making a direct and physical attack on his family since they are now the main focal point in his life.
It is Dole day next week so I'm estimating that he will stew for a while and then head east and there the tirades shall really begin.
Have already rung his mother and told of his outburst re- getting the family letter this afternoon.
She told me that the whole family is on alert and ready for him.
