Who else watches Rachel Maddor? I admire her and always watch her program because she's smart, VERY well educated and honest. She's one of those people I'd enjoy having drinks/discussion with.

Thoughts?

I listened to her back when she was on the radio. I liek to watch clips of her MSNBC show, but I don't subscribe to cable, so I can't watch the show itself.

Wow....and I thought agnostics/atheists were somewhat intelligent. Some of the comments on this tread have blown the supposition out of the water.

Don't confuse being intelligent with being politically correct.

Nothing like a few insults to get attention, eh?

I record her every night. She is intelligent, well educated and does her research. I also like Lawrence O'Donnell, who comes on after her.

Those are my choices also.

@nicknotes Me, too!

I used to be a fan and an admirer of Rachel Maddow. Then during then the 2016 Democratic primaries I watched her -- along with the rest of MSNBC -- screw Bernie Sanders and push Hillary Clinton, and my eyes were opened. She's clearly NOT a real progressive. She's a fraud. And since the general election she's become one-note Rachel: Russia, Russia, Russia. I switched from being a Bernie supporter and voted for Trump in the general election because I wanted to avoid war with Russia, and HRC was clearly the candidate for perpetual war, including war with Russia. Over the past two years Rachel Maddow has totally blown her credibility with all her highly slanted and partisan reporting. I used to watch her regularly, now I hardly watch her at all.

I was a Bernie supporter also and I was very upset that Rachel and the MSNBC staff was pro Hillary and ignored Bernie. I think MSNBC believed Hillary was going to win and they stuck with her in the expectation that when she won they would have lots of access to her in the White House.
Another interesting point that received no publicity from the media.....A prominent former leader of a African American organization stated in an interview that Hillary's people were telling AA organizations that if she got the black vote the Clinton foundation would fund their organizations. As you remember in the initial primaries Hillary did very well against Bernie in Southern states [all red states] because the African Americans voted for Hillary.

It's unfortunate that you gave up a huge bag of ethics to vote for a monster because you didn't understand her investigation in Russian connections.

Thanks so much for helping inflict trump on us. People like you are the problem.

@Secretguy I see things a bit differently. Both Sanders and Trump ran on populist programs. In fact, Trump watched Sanders win many of the Rust-belt states against Hillary, and then in the general election he pitched Bernie's message back to the same people to win the same states -- and the presidency. I don't understand how so-called progressives can support the corporatist candidate HRC so enthusiastically. When people like the Bush family and many other Wall-Street Republicans and prominent Neo-Cons endorsed HRC, how can you vote for her? A populist outsider like Trump is much preferable to a Wall-Street and Deep-State agent like HRC. It's too bad you guys cannot think outside the parameters the corporate mass media give you.

@Secretguy, @JeLa, @nicknotes Nicknotes, I'll agree with you that the African-American vote put Trump in the White House by block-voting for HRC in the primaries.

I agree with Maddow on many issues however I can't stand to watch her. In my opinion she talks down to her audience. She says the same thing at least four or five times and I do not have the patience to listen to it. I am of average intelligence and got the point the first time. I quit watching her years ago therefore I did not know she showed preference for Hillary. I was a Bernie supporter but I could never have voted for Trump. Junior High Civics stopped me because I understand the way government works and it's obvious giving Trump the White House gave the Republicans a homerun on many of the issues they have coveted forever. Our systems work in a way that make party affiliation crucial.

@JeLa Your argument sounds like something I'd hear from a Bible thumper. Calling Trump "a monster" sounds like a thumper calling someone Satan... breaking complex things down to pure good and pure evil. And then you question a person's morality because they vote in a way you do not understand.

She is a bit too smart for your local right wing nut job, probably uses words they don't understand. I do catch her from time to time but I already have my opinion of the right wing and mine is not as rosy as hers.

2

About as respectable as a HRC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Tom Perez sandwich.

2

Is she the original Rachael Matador

I catch her shows occasionally, but she's a bit slow-paced for my limited attention span. I remember the long piece she did on the 'leaked' Trump tax return that was a nothing burger and about 10 years old but was spun out into a twenty minute teaser.

She’s a mouthpiece for the elites, who peddles in Russian conspiracies. She’s no dummy, but at $30,000 a day she’s doing what anyone would, say what she’s told in order to keep the cash flowing. She’s the Neo-liberal Sean Hannity.

I can only surmise you know very little about Sean Hannity, Rachel Maddow, or both.

OOOOOPS...OF COURSE, I meant RACHEL MADDOW!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rachel Maddow! She is very intelligent and honest - which is not to say she is infallible.

I started listening to her on Air America Radio back in '04 I think. I met her at the Seattle Pride parade when she was the grand marshal.

I DVR her show and watch it 2-3 times a week. If I had to choose only one show to watch for an entire year, it would be hers. She deserves the ratings and awards she has received.
