"For the message of the 'magical sleigh' is foolishness to those who are 'not getting toys' but to those who are 'getting toys', it is the power of 'Santa'." - 1 Lunacy 6:66

The conservative Supreme Court has finally shown their true intentions, what they had planned all along, and what most of us knew they were going to do. Imposing their particular extreme Christian beliefs on all Americans.

We understand that they NEED to believe, and they NEED you to believe, like many other believers do. Their strategy seems to be: Believe, don't doubt, ignore nonbelievers, believe some more, ignore everything that contradicts their beliefs, believe even more, criticize everyone who is not believing as they do, believe even harder, never admit when they are wrong, never stop believing, deny science and history, believe, believe, believe. And when all else fails JUST BELIEVE!!!

They have confused great faith with purposeful, stubborn, willful ignorance. They have deluded themselves to the point of denying everything that is contrary to their BELIEF, so that they will KNOW that ONLY what they BELIEVE is true, that is insanity. Just because you believe something doesn't make it true.

Their beliefs have just become inane blather. They can’t prove them, so they just spout them over and over and over again. Most of us have read the Bible and found it ridiculous. We don’t need their help to understand that it is just the magical thinking of primitives trying to appease their fears and insecurities, and to force control over anyone who thinks differently.

No one can take their word for anything, since they are operating in belief without proof. If someone said the same things that they have about another god or holy book they would not believe it, so why should we believe their book? The Bible has had thousands of years to prove itself. All it has proven is that it goes against history, science, mathematics, and even common sense. It creates slaves that hope for a pipe dream that never comes. It pacifies them and keeps them subordinate to a system that takes advantage of them, and it keeps them from holding accountable those in power over them. It is the perfect tool for tyranny.

No one can really care about their beliefs, or anyone's belief for that matter, it is personal, and the MOST evidence that it produces is the oppression it creates. If their faith and prayers actually produced provable results they would be famous. That's why if believers kept their hate and belief to themselves it would work, because others will demand proof of the nonsense they believe, and the nonsense they say, and believers will resent it.

If a god lacks the ability, foresight, and intelligence to irrefutably prove the words of its holy book, the words are nothing but empty words, a story for believers to banter about. They are no more powerful than quoting Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

"What is the use of a book, without pictures or conversations?" - Alice.

"But then, shall I never get any older than I am now? That'll be a comfort, one way -- never to be an old woman -- but then -- always to have lessons to learn!" - Alice.

If believers declare that their god is real and that its scriptures are infallible. They MUST be able to PROVE that their god is a real living entity and prove that its doctrine is infallible. Every word based upon a fantasy, however emphasized as true, is irrelevant if not proven. Proof is substantial, belief is frivolous and fickle. They cannot argue that a god, or Bigfoot, or a leprechaun disapproves of, or hates, or even loves anything until they first prove that this entity exists. It becomes an exercise in futility, they are simply repeating unsubstantiated claims that they believe to be true. Their problem is proof, they have none, they want us to accept ludicrous contradictory stories because they BELIEVE THEM TO BE TRUE, THAT IS THEIR ONLY ARGUMENT. Theists must FIRST prove their god exists, then everyone on the planet can join the conversation.

A god cannot exist in contradiction, it cannot be omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and also be the opposite (symmetrically opposed in position, direction, or character). Their god cannot BE god and not BE god at the same time.

Here are some of the most prevalent absurdities that some Christians believe: They believe that there is only one God, and that Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit is also God. That only one of the three is called the Holy Spirit even though they were all spirits before Jesus impregnated his mother with himself through the Holy Spirit, making himself flesh, and that the Father is still a spirit but is distinguishable from the Holy Spirit even though they are all one spirit and person.

That it took God 4 days to create the earth and its contents, yet he created the entire complex universe in a moment of time. That he created the grass and trees on day 3 and the sun, planets, and stars on day 4 (Genesis 1:11-19).

That God is omnipotent, although he cannot defeat people with iron chariots (Judges 1:19) or a powerful devil that is able to continually thwart God's plans (Job 1:7-2:10; 1 Peter 5:8).

That God is omnipresent, yet travels to certain places (Genesis 3:8; Genesis 11:7; Genesis 18:16-33)

That God is omniscient, even though he is consistently finding out new things, arguing with people, and changing his mind (Genesis 2:18; Genesis 3:9-11; Genesis 4:9-10; Genesis 6:5-7; Genesis 18:16-33; Exodus 32:10-14). An omniscient god cannot have emotions. For example, if you found out that your spouse is having an affair it would affect you because it is new information, something you've now learned. If you had all knowledge there would be nothing for you to learn, you would have known it for as long as you existed. An emotional omniscient god nullifies itself. So an omniscient god repentant of previous actions that eventually destroys everything in a flood because of anger is ridiculous and stupid (Genesis 6:6). This would be like feigning surprise at your surprise birthday party that you threw for yourself and then wrecking the place in a fit of anger because it turned out exactly the way you knew it would.

They also believe prayer sometimes moves God to do something that he would not have done without prayer even though he KNEW he was going to do it already since he is all-knowing.

That God is somehow "love" even though he created human beings KNOWING that they would "sin" from being tempted by a fruit that God planted in the garden, even though God does not tempt anyone (Genesis 22:1-2; James 1:13), causing 100 percent of them to suffer in some way on this planet and 90 percent of them to suffer for an ETERNITY in a lake of fire (Matthew 7:13-14; Revelation 21:8). 10 billion years and still suffering, 1000 trillion years and still burning, FOREVER and still suffering, all from a test that God set up KNOWING ALREADY they would fail in the first place. Yet they believe this God is perfect love and the very embodiment of love (1 John 4:7-8).

That Jesus was born a man, free of sin, from a corruptible sinful virgin girl who possessed the fallen nature of Adam and Eve, even though NO ONE who is a descendant of Adam and Eve is righteous and ALL have a fallen nature (Romans 1:3; Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23), and that Mary could not be redeemed apart from Jesus shedding his blood and dying for her (Hebrews 9:22; Hebrews 10:4), without which the sin-nature of fallen man would continue in Jesus, and yet he was somehow not a blemished sacrifice and was somehow the perfect sacrifice for sin, even though he would also possess the sinful nature of Adam and Eve through Mary. And that somehow his sacrificial body was not corruptible, even though he aged, and had to sleep, eat and poop.

And the fact that they cannot give and take away guilt and "sin" like it was some sort of bad debt. If someone raped and murdered a small child, no amount of belief would change that fact. Even if billions of people stated that they would "take" their "sin" and be punished for the crime, it would never change the fact that is was the rapist and murderer who committed it. We could all lie and continue to believe the lie that the innocent could be punished for their crime, but that would only make things worse since, according to them, “all liars" will burn in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8).

On a side note, I would have to say that it is a pretty good set-up for the guilty, rape children, get forgiveness from congregants and parents who continue to support the perpetrator's church and cause, condemn anyone who didn't forgive them of the "sin”, then repeat. It's amazing how the words "everyone sins" can pacify victims of horrible crimes. The reason religion calls these atrocities "sin" is because it places a spiritual connotation on the crime giving them the authority to erase the sin or to condemn the sin. If I say religion can forgive sin, many would accept that idea. If I say religion can forgive crime, many would reject that idea.

They also believe that WHOEVER believes in Jesus is able to do greater works than he did and WHATEVER they ask in his name he WILL DO IT, even though there is no evidence for these greater works or answered prayers which would be extremely evident (John 14:9-14).

That invisible "laws" are somehow proof of their specific God. That we are ALL born with a knowledge of God but need them to preach or tell us about this God that we are supposed to already have knowledge of (Romans 10:14-15). That God has created ALL the proof needed to show himself even though believers are not able to produce that proof and that God holds people accountable and "without excuse" because they won't accept this proof which they cannot see (Roman 1:20). That we are to simply believe their story without question because it is pride if we don't, and that if we were "spiritual" we would be able to KNOW and FEEL all of this was TRUE without the slightest piece of evidence.

This is why the theist mind is so frustrating and contradictory to the rational mind. The theist lives in a world of opposites, accusing and condemning others for things they believe to be against a god that hasn't been proven to exist and against doctrines that HAVE been proven to be false. They believe in things they cannot see and deny the things they do see. (Romans 4:17 KJV; Hebrews 11:1 KJV) This is the spiritual equivalent of lying, which they justify as "having faith”. Because to them, a lie can become the truth if they believe it enough. (Mark 11:23)

And this is why they cannot reconcile their beliefs with reality, it CANNOT work, it forces them to live in delusion and extreme denial. So, in their mind, truth is not something to be embraced, it must be filtered and changed to "fit" their beliefs.

The fact is we all have the same needs: food, water, shelter, security, healthcare, etc., yet religion is used to purposely divide us on issues that don't matter, causing believers to be fanatically involved with who others love or have sex with, where they pee, what they eat, everything and anything as long as it keeps people divided. If people could ever unite over their common needs, disregard their inevitable differences, we would all fight together for a better life for everyone.

I would also like to point out that blaming the innocent, the victim, is a foundational pillar of religions who believe in blood sacrifice. Believing that sin can be transferred to an innocent lamb, or person, has created a mindset that has been prevalent in society for a very long time. Women and children are raped and blamed for their own rape, they are sold and exploited like property. People of color and the poor are exploited and payed poverty wages, slave wages, to keep them in their place. It isn't strange that women and people of color are the most religious demographic, it was meant to be that way. While all the while there is an unreasonable reverence of an authority that is considered macho and dominating. And all the while convincing them that they will have a mansion or some ultimate excess in a heaven that hasn't been proven to exist. A perfect set-up for the few who would exploit others for their own benefit.

"How can they have order in a state without religion? For, when one man is dying of hunger near another who is ill of surfeit [excess], he cannot resign himself to this difference unless there is an authority which declares, "God wills it thus." Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet." - Napoleon Bonaparte

So of course these believers in the Supreme Court will push their beliefs upon everyone.

The question is, will we allow it to happen?

Yup. Welcome to the American theocracy.

I think most people were not really all that concerned when it was just theory. However, now that they are seeing the conservative court in action, ans are losing and gaining rights depending on how religion views their rights, I think/hope people will be waking up.

Death to those that tarnish to inflame the truth!!!

Religion is not a truth, it is full on deceit!!!

They will pray on those that they can bring fear upon without effort!!!

Those who are unable comprehend the actual truth are doom to be lead to slaughter by the Judas goat!!!

A country guided by obstructionist regressive religious conservatives are doom to a faith of total enslavement!!!

False prophets like false gods are sure to bring a faith in death not life!!!

I certainly hope we do not allow it to happen. Following right along with you here, what I see is people who are afraid. They need something and the powers that be (or want to be) have decided the answer is in religion. If you believe long enough and hard enough it will happen. Just pray more and often. People need hope of something. Mix religion and fear together and politics falls right in line. I have one daughter who wants to see her murdered son again and another who was operated on for breast cancer recently. The only way they can get what they need is through religion. This growing fear with people of today goes so far that they think their god wakes them up in the morning. As for me, I still use an alarm clock.

Yes, I know. I have heard the dead family and friends excuse many, many times. False hope fades quickly and never gives the lasting strength and options that acceptance does.

And the dead remind them too often of their ultimate fate.

"There is apparently some connection between dissatisfaction with oneself and a proneness to credulity. The urge to escape our real self is also an urge to escape the rational and the obvious. The refusal to see ourselves as we are develops a distaste for facts and cold logic. There is no hope for the frustrated in the actual and the possible. Salvation can come to them only from the miraculous, which seeps through a crack in the iron wall of inexorable reality. They ask to be deceived. What Stresemann said of the Germans is true of the frustrated in general: "They pray not only for their daily bread, but also for their daily illusion.” The rule seems to be that those who find no difficulty deceiving themselves are easily deceived by others. They are easily persuaded and led." - Eric Hoffer

It is already happening.

Yes, and longer than people think.
