Tell me it is just a false rumour, tell me it is not true, I do NOT believe it.
Just had a quick phone call from Martin to let me know that Evangeloon went as quietly as a lamb to the slaughter not 30 minutes ago as he was transferred to the Halfway House.
No words of protest, no reactionary behaviour, still limping quite visibly though as an after result of his unwarranted altercation with an Indigenous Australian woman whom he insulted, etc, quite terribly.
He chatted all the way from the ward to the vehicle and from the hospital to the Halfway House about how he "would enjoy working in their gardens, would happily clean the yards, etc, was looking forward to cooking his own meals again and even with vegetables as well, since he never realized that vegetable tasted so nice when cooked correctly, that having the company of so many different people while in hospital taught a lot of new things and how to treat and behave towards others."
Upon hearing that torrent of drivel relayed to me I simply replied to Martin, "Speaking here as a Psychologist and not a neighbour of his, I would NOT believe a single word, not even an iota of a word that issued from his mouth UNLESS someone can inform me that the dosages of his medications are at or near their allowable maximums because I have, most regrettably known him for 10 years and as such I'd much rather trust a Cobra with a severe tooth infection NOT to bite me than I would any thing that came out of his mouth, he IS, imo, a born Manipulator and a bloody expert one to boot."
" But," responds Martin, " He wants to put you on his Visitors list, when does the R.O. put in place by the Police expire and when can a visit from you be scheduled?"
"The R.O. against him has another 10 and a half months to run and I for one will by NO means breach a Court Order so tell him that he can schedule my visit to him for 11.00 am on the 31st. of February, 2024 please."
Sounds of laughter came over the phone and then Martins voice still trying not to laugh responded, "Okay, I get it, 31 st. February, 2024, nice one do you reckon he'll suss that message out merely take as a kind of gospel?"
" You've met him, he is NOT the brightest bulb in the string of Xmas lights now is he, so you make up your own mind as what will happen next, but please let me know."
