I saw this on Facebook and it really sums up how the American religious right are viewed by the rest of the world

I can do that as a non believer

It is the damn tale of David
In that you have what amounts to a Despot, a man who sends his best friend on a suicide mission so he can steal his wife
and in Christian Dogma, God anoints him and his line despite any fault he might have because he is God, and "forgives" him that for "reasons we cannot grasp"

So it is really quite easy for Christians to unite behind despots, who might be evil as hell, because they think God can use ANYTHING or ANYONE for his own ends, even a Trump.

Savvy?

Hence this plays right into any cognitive bias they might hold politically.
They have done so many times before.

It proves, beyond a shadow of doubt, that these people are total hypocrites and unable or afraid to use the brains of a gnat to question what they are really standing for!

However, the statement is not entirely true. There are many other countries that also support this kind of mentality.

The Republican party has no shame. And 'Rule of Law' in the US has been suspended by the Republican Party since 20JAN17.

It is an embarrassment to our country. The Christian Right certainly isn't Christian and they aren't right about anything

I like that. ?

@irascible thanks

@Sticks48 I've been saying it for a while

Given the inconsistencies in the Bible, one might argue that the Christian right is most decidedly Christian... but right? No.
