The Atlanta DA's Office has plans to single-handedly do away with the 1st Amendment. For the second time in about 90 days, this office filed RICO charges on rappers based on social media posts and song lyrics.

This one rogue office making up some of the most nonsensical charges I've personally ever looked into. If any of these charges turn into convictions???

This DA's Office will be successful in disbanding free and protected speech. #scary

(One more reason to do away with the Grand Jury system. There's nothing just about Grand Jury precedings. Another layer of corruption.) 😑

The title of the link says "26 rappers indicted for RICO violations" but the article says:
"The 220-page indictment alleges that most people named were part of a gang involved in a series of home invasions and burglaries targeting both celebrity and non-celebrity homes in metro Atlanta."
"The indictment charges several alleged members of the Drug Rich gang...Other charges include attempted murder, home invasion, kidnapping, burglary, aggravated assault, theft by receiving, terroristic threats, false imprisonment and more."

(So these are not just young men making music that a local DA doesn't like, unless you know something different...)

"At least 88 charges stem from a 2021 incident where eight alleged gang members broke into a home, pulled a 16-year-old girl out of a shower and threatened to harm the girl if her mother didn’t give them valuables."
