If Bernie was the DNC nominee, does he win the election?
Robert Reich was surprised while talking to people in the red states that they were choosing between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump because they were the only candidates interested in the declining pay and security of blue collar jobs.
Bernie might have won some of those in addition to the Blue states
Virtually all the polls said he would have by ten digits, but a Clinton/Trump contest would be as tight as a single point. Looks like that turned out to be about true. If he returns in 2020 with a young, female VP (young to pick up when he dies in office, and female because we're well overdue) it will be a hard ticket to beat. HINDSIGHT IS 2020 ! Sanders/Gabbard !
Can I like this post twice?
I'm working very hard toward making this happen!
Do it Donna!
Tulsi resigned from the DNC to support Bernie because the DNC is just like the RNC but a bit better at eliminating candidates the big money doesn't want.
Don't think he would win. It still would have been tight and Donald still had help fro. RUSSIANS. SO WHO KNOWS
Yes, I truly believe he would have won had the DNC not rigged the whole thing. Michael Moore and various other people, some from cable news, went throughout the states formerly known as the "blue wall" that Clinton was banking on, yet had no ground game (I guess she felt entitled to the very people the democratic party has been screwing over since her husband was in office) in them. They interviewed tons of people that said they would have voted for Bernie over Trump had Bernie gotten the nomination.
Bernie was the only sensible choice for 2016, tried and tested New Deal economics and no nasty strings attached, not the whole answer but a start. DT has a hopelessly regressive tax plan and HC too great a love of war.
Totally destroyed my naive faith in the DNC, so now we have 2 far right conventions.
I agree with everything said here.
If he was the nominee-but will he make it this time?
