When I was in school I recall Thomas Jefferson being taught about and how he tried to free the slaves but he couldn't do it because he couldn't get the rest of the states to agree ,so instead of not going to war with people who'd enslave him ,he had no choice but to work with those assholes who still wanted slavery

Most of this is not known as much as much as it use to be ,now it's like people think , Thomas Jefferson and the alike were just major hypocrite so don't listen to a grain of their words with any respect.. forget their notion & perception of liberty.. instead twist it all up and enslave everyone to the state that will make everything fair ? That seems the direction..

My wonderful fantasy is that all the MAGAs get rounded up and sold as slaves. They are so deserving. (And the really nice ones like those that worked for Trump, save them for medical experimentation instead of Dr. Oz's puppies).

The US still had fewer years of slavery than any other nation on earth.
Why aren’t you crying about England, Egypt, Australia, or Russia??? Better yet; why not the countries that still have slavery???

I suppose it’s easier to sound superior standing up to dead men that build nations.

Jefferson may have had misgivings about the institution of slavery, but he nevertheless held 600 human beings in bondage. My avatar, Thomas Paine, on the other hand, never held slaves, and was an outspoken opponent of the practice. Without Paine, there may never have been a United States of America.
