This is the set of the Addams Family TV show, it looks so different in color. I never imagined it would be so cheery, we see differently in black and white. Not just with our eyes, our reality is different. Is it just our eyes switching from cones to rods? or do new brain circuits come on line too. Humans are vulnerable at night when we see like this, other animals are in their element. I hike in the dark and like the spookiness, the tingling and the alertness. I have a very powerful flashlight I carry and I realized the day must be just a frightening to an nocturnal animal. A cougar can't stalk when it has a light shone on it. Cougar horror stories start with, "it was a bright and windless day".

The clutter (B&W or color) is what scares me.

color is the salt of sight. the seasoning.

The camera and film see colors very different than the human eye, the camera sees red as black, grey would look muddy so there are all those shades of red to give better depth and the ookey spookiness.
Love the theme song 😅.
