When I met my soon to be wife it was clear that she wasn't a foodie and she definitely wasn't a great cook, she was much more interested in maintaining a svelt figure by dieting BUT she loved good food. So she usually says she isn't hungry and then I get to work and make something delicious and aromatic but I also keep a portion for her that isn't heavy in carbs and calories. Suddenly, she decides that she's a bit peckish and has a little snack with me - on the bad days she decides to cook and sometimes it's not to bad.
It's a work in progress but if you don't love food then it is hard to be a good cook, love is the secret ingredient in all great dishes.
