I have liked both types of zombie movies / stories. Though no one has done an old-time zombie movie in a long time. The newer zombies are all allegories for groups of people with their eyes, ears, and brains closed to the world around them. This includes the religious, the far -right and -left, big business (BORG) and many other groups.

I enjoy light-hearted zombie movies but ones that take themselves seriously only annoy me.
