An announcement from Freedom From Religion Foundation is worth sharing.
Announcement to members:
FFRF creates lobbying arm
We’re excited to inform you that the Freedom From Religion Foundation Board is creating a lobbying arm, the “FFRF Action Fund,” organized as a 501(4) nonprofit social welfare organization under IRS regulations. Our legislative and lobbying team have been working very hard over the past year to unveil our new lobbying arm and look forward to sharing FFRF Action Fund’s website and details with you soon.
Please be advised that FFRF’s legislative and lobbying work will soon be performed by the FFRF Action Fund. For example, this new group will handle action alerts — state and federal alerts about legislation affecting you.
These timely action alerts not only inform you about good or bad bills in your state or before Congress, but provide a quick, easy way for your legislators to hear your voice. Additionally, the Action Fund will occasionally issue informative statements and editorials about candidates for office who make comments or take actions for or against the separation of state and church and for or against freethought.
You will continue receiving the usual action alerts, plus the Action Fund’s news statements, unless you opt out, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to be involved or informed of legislative and lobbying efforts, please click this link and update your preferences by March 8, 2023. Please note that it may take a few weeks to process changes to our database.
But we sincerely hope you will instead want to become even more involved in legislative affairs, and help ensure that the views of the nation’s secular supporters and nonbelievers will be amplified and prevail at this critical juncture for democracy in America.
We think you will agree with us that too much is at stake. Now is indeed the time for all good freethinkers to come to the aid of their country!
With thanks for your membership and support,
Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor
Co-Presidents

Well, if the legislatures are being bribed to do the wrong thing, we should at least attempt to bribe them to do the right thing. I'll pay.
I like the organization and the 2 co-presidents but I don't think I'm gonna pay money to join. I know it is hard for them to continue doing this on their own but I'm opting out even though I follow them.
Still, you might get someone else to join. At one point, when I first joined, I offered to pay for memberships for some others. There were too many glitches and when I was able to offer no one took me up on it. However, thae pandemic has changed a lot including finances.
I'm glad to see they changed their membership structure. The last time I checked, it was too pricey for me. ('m not a terrible cheapskate, but I do have a budget for political contributions. F'instance, I send a monthly contribution to Ukraine, among two others.) But now, the $40/year for FFRF suits me just fine.
Several weeks ago, I told the bestpaperwritingservicereviews.com representatives that it is the best online platform I have ever come across. Believe it or not, but that is the most useful and educational platform for a college student.
Wait until Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor start getting vilified for character flaws or biased information and the the FFRF will blow away. Why not invest in the HRC (which is already well established but under-funded)? Creating more niche Foundations probably isn't going to improve our power but further isolate it.
And all that would happen is that more people would join. Some time ago I became an 'after-life' member. There are now 4 levels and every month more and more pay big money to join one of those groups. FFRF is not going away anytime soon.
