Mom had the reverse surgery done I think last year. At 90, she had no real problems with it the procedure. Still has some stiffness and can't lift her arm up the whole way, but not nearly as much pain as when it was dislocating every other week before she had it done. Glad to hear yours went well and you are on your way to a good recovery.
