Sure. I wonder who Vladimir is gonna set me up with?

I just can't get excited about anything related to Facebook anymore.

Probably not, especially since FB can't figure out where I am, even when I actually check-in someplace, it sends me ads from a totally different part of the country. They also keep putting Christian crap in my newsfeed, when I've clearly indicated in my profile that I'm agnostic. They're too dumb about basic stuff to actually be able to match people for long-term relationships.

They'll probably keep trying to match me with a Christian, no matter what.

Thanks for the heads up! I just read the article and it sounds promising, since it gets people together with real people at actual events where they can safely meet and interact in person.

The current one First Met is not very good. I met a couple of people that I won't see again. Hopefully the new one is better.

I only heard about it on the radio on my way home today, maybe.

I just heard about it on NPR today. I'd be willing to try it, considering the person looking at my profile could view my posts and decide if they want to see me based on my opinions, likes, etc. It can't be more invasive than any thing else we do. Hell, being on this site cold be invasive, yes? Go for it!

oh, if it means allowing people to see my FB then no, that's not gunna happen.

@Rugglesby I guess it's separate from your main account so only other people in the dating area can see it and they can't see your main profile. I'm still not sure if I would want to.

@MsAl You are correct. It is separate, and you can share what you want. Considering how much everyone over shares everything, I don't see how it can be worse than anything else.

I just think the FB folks aren't smart enough to make successful matches, when they can't even get basic stuff right.

There are only some things that you can not avoid. Paying taxes is one, dieing is another, and having Facebook collect data on you when you use Facebook. Since we are all being herded into the mouth of the cave of the unknown, I might as well go along for the ride. Hey, perhaps I can meet someone and we can both go hand in hand down the path of life.
