I will quickly reveal why I am in such a pissy mood. Last January I had to cahnge my mailing address from my P.O. box to my street address because I had to give up driving. Worst decisuion I ever made. I filled out the little green paper that made the change of address legal and went on my way. In January, I did not receive my Social Security deposit. I called, and fter waiting a bit. the deposit arrived.
That was the last time.
I have now been without income for three months. ALl my resources have dwindled. Not eating much is good for me, but I am also running out of bloodsugar testing supplies. I am worried about the cats and dogs. My family tells me it wtill all work out, just call Social security and my cedit Union and all will be fine.
Ha, ha, ha.
Every person who answers my call has a different idea why this happened and gives me new information of what I need to do. I wuld like to know what THEY will do! Enough kvetching. I was entertaining of moving back to Germany, but now this mass shooting happened in Hamburg and I have the feeling that the level of public service also has taken a dive since I was there.
So now I have to wait and hope that I can rely on my farmer friends to keep me in eggs and veggies. So, keep the funny pictures coming. I"ll need them for a while longer>

Very frustrating < on line , doesn't
work . The fine print changes from agency to agency . Health ins., unemployment ; dmv; Social Security
all are in the process of up grading to new id's . Then covid hit ( our state pushed back the time table 2 YEARS ).
Very easy to overlook something with alot of gray areas( can't have a laminated ssi card ).
I D me or GOV I'd are 2 3rd party
" gate keepers " that ate supposed to verify YOU and allow access to log into your accounts with ANY gov. website.
They probably are paid on how many they REJECT

Better to start the ball rolling in person as others have said ; also note the entire process and next steps. On aarp the
other folks said they also had difficulties online . Sorry for your distress , I found
food pantries ( salvation army) on my States health & human services website- and this goes by COUNTY and your location.
AARP has reduced meal locators &
food bank locations( times , REQUIREMENTS , ect.)

It makes me feel better to have a member here take me seriously, ven members of my family say; just be patient. Don't worry. Ha! Rememberm, I gave up my car to my granddaughter who needs to accomodate three car seats. I sit at home. No food pantry, no going to the town hall to explain why propertty taxes remain unpaid. I have lost all my personal pride and told my story to the town clerk, the lady from the electric supplier and the hospital, and to my big embarrassment I start crying halfways through my narrative. Then I get mad at myself and want to sink into the ground. I had my grandson take me to the country Social security office where the person received my cancelled check with the correct account and routing numbers and I received their sincere promuse for payment of three months' worth of SS payents. I kept all my sacastic remarks to myself. And to your ;last suggestion: I do have direct deposit. And we do not have Ubers and only limited bus service between the counties. AH. A KINGDOM FOR A HORSE!
Go to their office, in person, With an appointment, bringing any and every thing that proves who you are and your history.
Talking face to face with a person, openly noting their name, and then having them to call as needed is PRICELESS....You will Never straighten something like this over the phone with a procession of faceless fools.
Take an Uber or bus if you hav no one to drive you.
And when you straighten this out (have you asked the Post Office to check dead letters for you?) have them set up Direct Deposit.

OH, SWEETHEART, THAt's what I thought. Mt credit union is in California AND THEY EXPECT DEPOSITS BY MAIL. ( WHAT ABOUT THE 12 PREVIOUS YEARS'S DEPOSITS? wHAT ABOUT ALL THE MAIL i RECEIVED WITHOUT PROBLEMS OVER THE LAST 16 MONTHS? aLL THESE EXCUSES ARE UST THAT, EXCUESES, i NEED A FORENSIX ACCOUNTANAT AND A PITBULL LAWYER. And I need a faMILY WO DOES NOT MAKE FUN OF MY Trauma. Thank goodness I am anatheist or I would satart feeling proscrcuted for some of thE badTHINGS i DID IN THE PAST.

Contact your representative, that is one of the things they do. I called mine when SSA made my marriage license disappear. I had to send it in because they didn't think my marriage from 40 years ago was legal!!! The Army recognized it, I got a new social security card, and I have had three passports all in my married name. Go figure.
