The only LGBTQ+ rage is conservatives (not unlike yourself) raging against their existence. Nobody is attacking free speech, we're saying that nobody has a free pass to insult other groups. "White hetero Christian male" culture have been insisting for centuries that they have a privileged position, and anyone who speaks out against the "norm" is a radical outsider to be despised. Being "woke", if that's what you want to call it, just means insisting that ALL groups have the same privilege or lack thereof. It's equally wrong to talk smack about trans people (which, by the way, there's no puberty blocking going on in grade school, except in the fever dreams of Ron Desantis) as to talk shit about women, Black, White, Latinx, anybody.

What you need is a little empathy- the ability to put yourself in the place of "outsiders" and imagine how it feels to be hated and shamed. As an atheist/agnostic, I would have thought that gave you a head start on empathy for other "outsiders". Guess not, though.

"Woke culture" is a label created by the right wing, as a dog whistle vocabulary to alert racists that they are against minorities and stand with then. They chose "woke" because it originated in black culture, but they have applied it to a wide variety of things, which they used to just refer to as "liberal" and the leveral used to refer to as "being socially/culturally aware".

It is sad that right wing(s) don't see the entire human race as a single group, but instead chooses to try to pit one group against another. Although not all that successful, in general the left wants all humans to progress forward and not get hung up on differences, where they be skin color, cultural, sexual orientation or gender identity.

I have said that it is the diversity that makes the U.S. strong. Innovation and invention doesn't come from trying to get everyone to think, act and behave in the same ways. Conformity leads to a stagnation in thinking and creativity.

Forgive me but I never had a clue what woke means. Something like be in the minute instead of thinking before doing stuff? I also am sick of all the double standards, one for men in power and the rest of us getting their pigeon shit on our head.
