Donald Trump's argument of 2016 is going to resonate again. I don't like Trump but our mistakes are aligning stars just right for Trump in 2024. We'll end up serving the White House on a silver platter for him.

Suspect in Texas massacre had been deported 4 times after entering US illegally, ICE source says

Cleveland, Texas —
The man wanted by law enforcement in the fatal shooting Friday of five of his neighbors in Texas – including a 9-year-old boy – had entered the US illegally and been deported by immigration officials at least four times, a source within US Immigration and Customs Enforcement told CNN on Monday.

The suspect, identified by ICE as Francisco Oropesa Perez-Torres, was first removed by an immigration judge in March 2009, the ICE source said. “At an unknown time and location, Perez-Torres unlawfully reentered the United States, and was apprehended and removed several more times by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in September 2009, January 2012, and July 2016,” the source said.

I just wanted to state here that the intention of my post was not to discuss guns, the culture of violence and the criminal himself. My point was how Trump will articulate and capitalize on this issue to rage people and drive them to polls for him in 2024. Trump and Republicans are very good at that and Democrats are very poor at it.

Point taken. Reason I responded as I did is because already I see Democrat politicians deflecting to other talking points instead of focusing on the actual problem. That said, you are right, Trump will play to the emotions of his followers, no doubt. I'm waiting to hear how long the guy was living illegally here since the last time he was deported.

Also, being he was living illegally in the country, that meant he was not legally able to own weapons here, yet somehow he acquired guns anyway. Remind me again how criminals could never get their hands on guns because of the gun control laws? Yeah right...

After the second time he entered the country illegally US law enforcement agencies should have communicated with the Mexican authorities in order to make sure he wouldn't do the same thing again, as apparently the man was problematic in that regards and should have been in prison based on what I've heard so far, but that didn't happen though.

And of course the Dem politicians are trying to shift the focus on the guns, while ignoring the real problems, as you pointed out above.

What argument? Illegal immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than legal immigrants. There are always going to be undocumented people, welcome to Earth, it;s a problem to be managed, not a crisis that can be solved. Scaremongering about it is generally dog whistle racism. This tragedy was caused by alcohol and easy access to lethal weaponry, not immigration policy.

So he got depoted under Obama 4 times and returned under Trump, who was so busy separating families that he missed the actual dangerous ones.

And that takes the cake 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇

He seems to have been deported during Obama's presidency, and Biden's Vice Presidency. When/how did he get back in?
