I have friends who are all for reparations. I am not. How would this work if you applied it to anything other than slavery? Would you get paid money if your distant relative was shot, hanged, or run over by a car? Then we have to look at who would be paying this type of money and why would they be paying it. Reparations would only work if the family of the wronged black person was getting money from the offender who did this wrong doing. Society as a whole is not responsible and should not be paying you on this.
