Cherelle Parker will be the next mayor of Philadelphia. First African American woman to serve as mayor. With a 7-1 Democratic to Republican registration in the city, she is virtually assured to be elected in November

Hey Joe! I am so excited sbout the influx of young racial minorities into politics. They make me feel proud and hopeful and I am so appreciative of how hard they've worked and that they're willing to step up to be part of the solution.

Cherelle is 50. I consider that young for a mayor of the 2nd largest city in the East Coast. She was the most conservative candidate running in a field of 7. She's quite progressive on social programs but she is a strong law and order candidate. Philly had 100 more murders than NYC, with 5x population, most victims were POC. So her position is justified. I like her a lot. She's loud and proud.
