National Day of Crazy.
I just watched some of Pence's side show and I'm thinking about jumping ship again. Maybe Norway.
The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, the law was unanimously amended by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on Thursday, May 5, 1988, designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer. Every president since 1952 has signed a National Day of Prayer proclamation.
It’s okay with me if people want to chat with their invisible sky buddy, just so long as they don’t force anyone else to join in the conversation. Hell, I talk to my dog every day and at least she pretends to be listening!
jerry99 your dog is listening, she told me so.
What??? It's actually something Congress did? Umm... doesn't that violate the establishment clause? Grrrrr.
Thanks for that info. Who's Truman want us to pray for? All the people he killed by ordering bombs dropped on them?
They're all Hipochristian's.
Don't jump ship stay here & educate these idiots. Help us win the logic & reason battle over gullibility.
Thanks, it's frustrating because we keep losing in court with regard to these issues. granted other battles have been won, but these biggies should not have been lost and I question the competency of the attorneys at this point .
The constitutionality of the National Day of Prayer was unsuccessfully challenged in court by the Freedom From Religion Foundation after their first attempt was unanimously dismissed by a federal appellate court in April 2011.
Pres. Trump says he'll soon sign executive order "to create a 'faith initiative' at the White House," which will "help ensure faith-based organizations have equal access to government funding and the equal right to exercise their deeply held beliefs."
@MrTallman I'm aware and livid. Atheism must win, because its right. All the current data points to that conclusion. It seems with each new discovery it becomes even more sound. People are coming out by whatever title the use as NonBelievers in good numbers. It seems to me, that nearly everyone, now a days, knows someone who is an Athiest or Non Believer. Wasnt like that in my arena growing up. It's frustrating though ill give ya that. Really frustrating.
This national day of prayer would have gone by unnoticed by me were it not for this post.

@MrTallman Is this something that should concern me in the slightest?
@indirect76 Up to you buddy.
This is gonna be a fight for sure.
What pisses me off is that he and his cronies know that.
@MrTallman I fail to see what the big deal is. Why fight equal access? Why fight equal rights to practice religion?
