Isn't it interesting how the cert expired for this site and then it magicly got fixed. Who fixed it? Who got a new cert? Why did this spiritual guy come in right afterwards and start all his stuff? How did these events come together like this? Why am I in the middle of it? I don't understand. Hmm, something to think about.
My best answer is that it happened this way simply because it did. I cannot allow my belief system to elevate myself as being so important. Yes, things do happen simply because things happen.
I once was in a car accident where a mailbox broke the windshield and hit the car frame right in front of my face. The claim that was made is that god saved my life. The mailbox could have came on through and cut my head off -- but it didn't. I was told that I should think on that a very long time. That's why you are reading this right now. Yes, it could have but it did not. This is the key of understanding that car wreck. YOU are not as important as you think you are because it did not. No drama. No me. Just a happening as an incident.
Hindsight has always been near-miraculous in its' ''causation''
LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
@FvckY0u I don't think that's what she's saying. I think she's joking about how the puddle remarks how perfect the hole is and how they must have been meant for each other. You can say you were meant to meet someone because of a desirable outcome, but you don't know what would have happened without the meeting. Perhaps something better. Was Ben meant to meet Jerry? Maybe if they'd have both met other people we'd have twice as many amazing flavors of ice cream. Yours are similar to the remarks of a religious person. The Earth is the PERFECT distance from the sun to support human life! It HAS to be MEANT to be! Innit God amazing?
Here you go with the reason/purpose kind of stuff again. I thought I got your meaning the other day when you explained it, but this seems to contradict it. What divine plan or cosmic nonsense has us meeting specific people for whatever reasons?
@FvckY0u There are so many assumptions in what you claimed I don't know where to start. But just as I surmised the other day, these are not the thoughts and words of an atheist.
You're actually giving me alt-Word-account vibes now.
@FvckY0u That is a misuse of the word 'true'. Truth is irrespective of who is thinking it or benefiting from it. The second claim is also nonsensical. I know that it is true the Earth isn't flat. I don't even know what the phrase "true for me" is supposed to mean, so according to you I can't know that to be true.
@FvckY0u I would tell you we're talking about two completely different concepts that one of us incorrectly labeled 'truth'.
@FvckY0u I like being able to effectively communicate with people I interact with. The more I indignantly create personal definitions for words that are different, or as in this case, opposite, of how everyone else defines it, I steadily decrease my ability to accurately convey things to others.
"Dictionary definitions are for squares," I thought to myself, "henceforth, to me, hamburgers will be those tubes of meat, and hot dogs will be those beef patties, and everyone else can keep their dictionary definitions cause I have no use for them!"
goes to Five Guys and orders a hamburger
gets served a beef patty on a bun
"Excuse me, this isn't what I ordered."
"I apologize, sir. I thought you said you wanted a hamburger."
"I did."
"Oh. Okay, sir, that's what this is."
"No. This is a hot dog. I wanted a hamburger."
"I'm confused as to what's happening right now. Are you messing with me?"
"No. I don't want this hot dog. Please make me a hamburger."
"Sir?"
"Oh, I see, you're one of those squares that uses the dictionary definitions of hot dog and hamburger. I guess I won't be able to get what I want here. I would like to pay double... That's where you give me my money back."
See how stupid that sounds?
@FvckY0u I understand that no one has a clear view of objective reality because all of the information gathered about it is most often through an imperfect or subjective lens. That does not mean that objective reality doesn't exist or that anyone can make up any definitions for any words they want without consequences.
@FvckY0u That's the same thing religious people say about their gods...
@FvckY0u Depends on what you mean by 100% wrong. About anything, ever? No. About logically impossible attributes they ascribe to their God? Yes.
@FvckY0u Being accidentally right by consequence of statistics doesn't hold much water with me. Blind squirrels finding nuts and all that, ya know?
@FvckY0u To me that's like saying we should cut Hitler some slack because he had some good ideas. No thanks. There are plenty of places to find enlightenment that I don't have to dip my bucket in the well that may very well be poisoned. Religion, at its core, is fundamentally flawed. It does not seek truth, it does not seek enlightenment, it doesn't have the greater good as its highest (or any) goal. Any parts you find redeeming is the same as believing the fallacy that morality comes from the Bible... unless you're one of the people that's actually stoning disobedient children and murdering gays. i.e. if you were able to recognize the few parts that are actually worth while out of the pile of horseshit, then you didn't need the religion to tell you the good parts in the first place...
@FvckY0u Your previous comment you said, "I'm just pointing out that you can accept some religious ideas or concepts if they make some fucking sense." My response was to that statement and drew a perfect parallel to nonsensical, fallacious claims made by the religious. Don't backtrack now and say all you're claiming is that I need to accept it exists (that was never in question). That the kind of shit religious apologists on this site do.
@FvckY0u Oh, now it's just live and let live, huh? Another watered-down, backtracking response. Typical. A few comments ago you were all spirits, and other realms, and subjective truth is truth, and religions have parts that make sense and should be accepted, blah, blah, blah. Stick to your guns, bro.
@FvckY0u Nope.
@FvckY0u Everyone here can read this exchange and decide for themselves. I don't believe I mischaracterized what you said. And if that's your only defense, that also speaks volumes.
@FvckY0u That's your big insight, I like to argue? Impressive. Don't think anyone else has ever figured that out before. But you got me pegged: calling people out on the bullshit they spew in the hopes it doesn't Infect others' brains is a favored pastime of mine.
@FvckY0u I'm the one that wants to create his own reality?? You're over here talking about fuckin' spirits, other realms. Bro, you LITERALLY said, "What if I was to tell you reality (truth) is subjective and you are the creator of it." It's actually hilarious how you're tripping over the stupid shit you said above.
@FvckY0u It's implied from your claim that it's my favorite pastime. Try to keep up.
