No sooner had the Fulton County Sheriff released Donald J. Trump's mug shot to the public, the Done Cheato began selling hats, T-shirts and coffee mugs bearing the infamous image. And Trump's zombie acolytes, eager to fund the double-chinned, quadruple-indicted former president's legal expenses, have been snapping up the multiple-felon's merch. Apparently he's been raking in the dough. There's just one problem. Well, two, really. First, Trump doesn't own the copyright to his mug shot; Fulton County does. And Second, like most states, Georgia has statutes (known generally as "Son of Sam" laws) that prohibit criminals from profiting off of their crimes, even while awaiting trial. So, while Trumpty Dumpty thought he was enriching himself and doing the justice system one in the eye, he and his ass-hat cult followers are actually filling the coffers of the entity that is prosecuting him. (The Fulton County Jail facilities are in dire need of repair, so the money will go to a good cause.) Way to go Orange Foolius!
