Do you think they would then think of the constitution as a fluid document? One that needs to change and grow with the growth of and needs of society? Or would it be set in stone and we need to follow it to the letter?
I agree, I'm just old enough to remember the days when, what our politicians said and did were mostly trusted. Now, it's a matter of trying to figure out if what they're saying has any truth too it. And hoping that what they're doing will be in everyone's best interest or if it's just a way to pay back the lobbiest for their campaign contribution's.
Follow the money. The Supreme Court fucked up big time when they equated money with free speech. The British got it right as far as that goes.
One of the more interesting thoughts, wisdom supposedly comes with age, but when hearts and empathy, and good conscience are involved...life expectancy in those days, was give or take of 50 years old....you can imagine the age of this group of men, being in their 20's and up...and what they created ?
