I think whether of not the statement would apply to governments depends on the degrees to which the government leaders are altruistic (interested in the common good) or selfish (primarily self interested).

Dictionary says supreme is the greatest and being is something that exists.
But it’s not A supreme being. It’s THE supreme being. Because there can only be one greatEST.

So… The greatest thing I can conceive of is the entirety of all that exists. Sometimes called the universe.
