We had a childhood story that a nonbeliever king asked his young son where God was and kicked a pillar in the palace asking if god was there. And a half man and half lion came out of the pillar which was god and it tore the king's - the young son's father's torso.

We were frightened to believe that God is everywhere only until more science came by in adulthood.

IF HE EXISTS it would be so simple in his omnipotence for him to prove that . The fact that ' he ' does not do that is more proof of his non existence than anything else.

I would like to know if a Biblical concept exists that is as profound in implications as evolution.

The forms of evidence for evolution are many and no evidence is contradictory. If one assigns a correspondingly high level of confidence to evolution's correctness, one must wonder how all the religious texts managed to miss it, being in direct contact with the supreme being. All those gods were well informed, but didn't think it important? It doesn't seem like something that should have been missed.

Or, perhaps Humanity was dumber than shit until Darwin and Wallace came along. That would seem to be the case. We should be ashamed of such stupidity.

This reminds me of the bible story where bears came out of the woods to kill children who had laughed at a bald headed man.
