I’m wondering if folks find it more difficult to have friends with religious beliefs, or friends with opposing political views.

Religious friends are easier for me as long as they aren't fanatics. Of course if that were true we wouldn't be friends to begin with.

Some people with religious beliefs are very open and loving. Those with opposite political views of mine are also typically religious, but just having a religion doesn't mean one hates me for being a queer woman.

Can't vote, if one of the categories was 'Couldn't give a shit' then I would have. Seriously though a friendship is formed, for me anyway, irrespective of the two criteria you have given 🙂

Yes both.
I don't consider any religious person a friend.
Political views, depends what they are.
