This was the Republican primary voters....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Yes, but the whole electorate is such that it's a consistently blue state. It stands to reason that the Independents (and maybe the Republicans) aren't super far right, thus, should be much more likely to support Haley. But she got her ass kicked. Very telling. I would be shocked if she wins a single state before she drops out.

@ChestRockfield The same results only worse for Trump occurred in New Hampshire... Yes he won the vote but she received 43% of it taking most of the Independent voters as well which any Republican NEEDS to with the National election. Next we see what happens in Nevada and South Carolina but if this trend continues and the answers in exit polls continue to remain the same percentage wise it looks very bad on both the up and down ballots for Republicans...

If the demographic that was answering the phone was the issue, and those two elections saw the polls underestimated support for Trump, what could the cause of a total flip-flop be that now the polls are overestimating support for him?

I think the American electorate is stupid and has a super short memory. I think they've had 4 years of normalcy and don't remember what it was like and are too stupid to see the writing on the wall. I think a lot of people that voted for Biden may not turn out for him again because they are unable to see the urgency of keeping Trump out of the White House. I truly believe these polls are fairly accurate and we're about to see another Trump term.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz We're just going to have to wait and see what happens in November, it's gonna be a very long 10 months.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz It gives me hope but until the ballots are counted I just can't rest easy. Limit the info I take in, donate to blue candidates and talk about the facts when I can.

@silverotter11 One of the factors skewing votes from the right in the special elections was abortion and women's healthcare thankful most younger women are turning away from the GOP and that has changed results as much as 11 points in some elections. Also it should be noted that for a primary in the general election this is having an extremely low turnout for the Republicans...
