Here's what the bill would do:

1. Allocate $20 billion to border security
2. Raise the standard for asylum
3. Hire more asylum officers
4. Close loopholes in asylum law
5. Expedite asylum process for legitimate cases
6. Expand deportations
7. Build border wall
8. Hire more border security agents
9. Increase the number of detention beds
10. Increases screening for fentanyl and other drugs
11. Ends "catch and release"
12. Grants new emergency authority to Homeland Security to close the border once encounters reach a certain threshold.

This has been a long-held Republican wish list.
