There’s some debate about the origin of the word “amen” , most people seem to think it’s Hebrew.
Yeah, I know. It is put at the end of prayers, so that no other god is put before god, but they were originally afraid of offending Amen-rah, so they used his name as the benediction to a prayer. Most are unaware of those origins.
Christopher Marlowe made the same claim in 16th century, it contributed to his getting murdered at the age of 29
