Do you know how you got here? Either through religion or science or philosophy? Are you 100% certain?
Do you know where you are? We don't even know where the cosmos begins and ends so we have no idea where we are.
Truth is you don't know a damn thing about life.
Once you understand and accept this you will become super open to everything.
You're right. I don't know a damn thing about life.
It is a mystery, an adventure, and an exciting journey. How would knowing how life originally began or my precise location in the universe improve that? If I obsess on those questions, would I not be missing out on "living" life?
Aren't you "FvckYou" just using your third screen name?
You are preaching to the converted. See, the site is called "Agnostic" which means "not knowing".
@Drank_Spear Oh, I think that the people on this site are well aware of all the implications, and understand them to far greater depth than that.
@Drank_Spear Open to everything, according to your post.
The lapse of logic you are spewing out here, is the argument "how do you know you're not a brain in a vat". Matt Dillahunty has some interesting views on said argument, and he kind of puts it to rest.
@Drank_Spear If you are serious, call into one of his shows such as the Sunday Show on The Line network (youtube) The Sunday Show airs Sunday at 12:00 CDT [callinstudio.com] or phone 720-619-2288
I'll give you a heads up, your "Do you know how you got here? Either through religion or science or philosophy? Are you 100% certain?" and your other "questions" are familiar argument posed by many a theist on his shows. Your "100% certain" framing is a component of those arguments that may have you backtrack just a bit as "100% certain" is not a position he, and most every informed rational thinker thinks including myself profess.
Have fun. I look forward to your - - - - - discussion on the Sunday Show.
@Drank_Spear Put your intellect where your mouth is. Can you answer the questions you asked of us?
@Drank_Spear it's basically a call in radio show. Do you honestly believe your thoughts on these subjects are original? You've probably never had an original thought your entire life. That's not meant to be mean, just honest
@Drank_Spear Does that mean you have no answers?
Congrats on not being a theist.
Not sure why you employ the exact talking points of many Christian Presuppositional apologetics?
Just a FYI: The channel also accepts (on a lower tier) atheists.
After reading your "excellent. Invite him to respond to this post. I prefer people that use their own brains."
I Kind of figured you would not follow through with your point:
Perhaps you were just unaware how many time Matt Dillahunty has stated, If you have an argument, call in. I (will not) (don not) have time to argue online.
Although It would have been fun to listen to you defend the relevance of your position/questions, I offered the above information to expose your reluctance to honestly explore the debts of your topic on a live venue.
@Drank_Spear Double standard.
@Drank_Spear I mean out of everything you have posted on here. None of it is original relevant or intellectual. So idk why you think you're smarter than anyone else.
@Drank_Spear Defensive too. Interesting...
So daddy injected sperm into mommy's receptacle & merged to begin a reaction that produced me. Why this happens is still unknown to us. I will never be "super open to everything " due to my ignorance, morals, & emotion. Some things can not be answered. Some situations have no solution. I am learning to accept this tho it frustrates me. Now I am working on tempering that frustration. Accepting what I can not change. I CAN change myself.
Through Evolution is how I got here, yes, according to the evidence that is out there by top experts on the subject, I have doubt's on the extraterrestrial intervention theory on our creation , but I highly believe extraterrestrial worlds exist on other planets, they think the cosmos goes on and on and is continuing to expand, and started with the big bang ,were somewhere on the edge of the spiral Milky way on one of It's outer bands, true ,we don;t know where we are, we know that we are in somewhere in space on a planet revolving around a star, theres a lot we don't, know about were we are in the universe science is working on it and progress, That's why I am an atheist freethinker
we both think I think what is the right decision to make, and what I know, the others are the scientists that are highly skilled in their work be it astronomy, paleontology archeology, origins of christianity and the poor evidence for it, experts that dissemble the bible, my decision is to avoid religion falseness ,that suppress freedom of thought and rely on what these scientists say, they have studied for years, and listen about what the conclusion they have come up with, and what they have,, as a freethinker I think about the world I came into, and I don't see it looking like this, a world of human suffering and war ,so I decided to search for the truth
@Drank_Spear where oh where did @ml58n2 say that?
You're just pissed because he didn't fall to his knees and thank you for enlightening him...in fact I think your browbeating may have alienated him, for sure after you dissed him in your "thoughtful" reply.
But you've had that pointed out to you before methinks.
thank you for your comment Anne I'm not pissed at all, everyone has their own opinion just pointing out the facts, we have to rely on science too, nobody was dissed, have a good day.
@Drank_Spear Isn't that what religions want to do..." think for us".
@Drank_Spear I would rather do my own thinking.
@Drank_Spear When their data can not be independently verified then they get called out for it.
@Drank_Spear Theists' data can not be verified. Scientists' data can.
@Drank_Spear If you are a leader then you have followers yet, you disparage followers. Would that not count as hypocritical?
@Drank_Spear Ah, you are one of those. No thanks.
@Drank_Spear Are you aware that delusion of grandeur is classified as a mental illness?
@Drank_Spear You do like to avoid answering questions.
Open to everything, including stupidity, lies, false beliefs, and conspiracy theories? Some things you don't need to know to survive, and there are some things you do. The Darwin Awards prove that: [darwinawards.com]
