The trouble with Libertarian philosophy is that it is too extreme. Just like fundamentalist religions of all faiths, it leaves no room for anyone who does not adhere to their ideology.
Imagine a society with minimal taxes and no public services. No public education, police, fire, roads, subsidised public transport, and only a very small standing army for defence purposes only (actually that would be not be too of an bad idea)? Plus no regulations on building codes, town planning, pollution, consumer safety, or arms control (you could buy an A-bomb if you have the money). You would have small affluent gated communities with private police/fire depts with people working from home or spending hours travelling to work on congested toll roads wearing gas masks to combat air pollution. Meanwhile, the rest live in shanty towns or trailer parks. Eventually, the "masses" would revolt, they would form some form of terrorist organisation and attack the nobs on the hill. The nobs would have no clue it was coming as they refused to pay for any form of policing that might have kept tabs on such activities.

Libertarians promote free markets, less government intrusion and then support the government preventing women from controlling their own bodies. They do nothing to help those that can not function but oppose terminating defective a pregnancy. Hypocritical?
