Karl Marx was actually (mostly) pretty accurate in diagnosing the problems and excesses of capitalism in society. However, hie proposed solution of revolution has never worked in actual practice. His proposed solution was geared to satisfy immediate gratification. However, societies and cultures cannot effectively change over night.

The Democratic Socialists in Norther European countries have a much slower and gradual approach to solving the problems of excesses in capitalism and making a better society over many generations, and those countries are already rated as the happiest places to live on our planet.
