I am in no position to make an observation on that. Because I stumbled on to this site with the express objective of not trying to hook up with someone. I was done; burnt out.

Fantasy is always an attractive place to go. But if you find a reality? Do not - and I cannot say this strongly enough - do not let that go. Hold it in your hand like a lucky coin and squeeze it hard.

I have found my dream partner, sadly he’s made up from the qualities of approximately 4 different men! I’m old enough to know that we all come with baggage. For me it’s finding someone understanding enough and willing enough for us to help each other navigate around it so that we can be more vulnerable ourselves with each other. That alone isn’t enough but it’s a great foundation

Absolutely. At my age dating is not the same nor are the people in my age group that I have dated. So much baggage and health issues and adult children and grandchildren. The fantasy is killed by all of that. Of course my fantasy is George Clooney or someone that is ONLY a fantasy. Reality totally sucks!

I am not sure about fantasy but I guess it makes sense, the older you get the more nostalgic you become, there is just a lot of past experiences to recall, to be happy or sad about, to drive the "what-if " of the imagination.
