To deny the very real and numerous accomplishments of the Biden administration is sheer willful blindness. Biden is adroit and effective. Trump is so incompetent, he literally couldn't do anything right. He couldn't kill Obamacare, he couldn't pass an infrastructure bill, he didn't build the wall he promised, he badly fumbled COVID-19 and caused some 200,000 excess deaths, he tried to extort a personal political favor from a a foreign country by withholding military aid that Congress had already funded, tried to overturn a fair election that he lost, falsified his business records in furtherance of a scheme to hide the fact of a sexual encounter with a porn actress while his wife was home with their newborn son, tried to overturn an election that he lost fair and square by inciting a mob to attack the Capitol in order to disrupt the counting of electoral college votes in a joint session of Congress. Then he stole reams of classified documents and left them unguarded in his beach club where any number of foreign agents could have photographed or stolen them. Then he lied, subborned perjury, and obstructed justice when the government came asking for its documents. All Trump did was give a big, fat tax break to the wealthiest Americans and corporations, while stripping away environmental protections and ignoring the climate crisis. What a loser!

We don't even need to get into the facts that Trump is an adjudicated rapist, and that his company has been found liable for systematic fraud over many years, and the self-styled billionaire can't come up with the cash to pay the fines levied against him. What a loser!

Meanwhile Joe Biden has quietly taken care of business. He got the biggest infrastructure bill in history passed, lowered prescription drug prices through Medicare, got American manufacturing humming, including strategically important semiconductor chips, rebuilt our relationships with our allies, shepherded the country through the pandemic, reduced inflation more than any other developed country, got the stock market hitting all-time highs, added millions of jobs, and provided the economy a soft landing coming out of the pandemic. He would sign a bipartisan bill that would immediately help solve the immigration problem but Trump and his MAGA minions won't let the bill come up for a vote because they would rather bitch about the border and fix it.

@Seriousreason A jury of citizens heard Carroll and other witnesses and found them credible. Trump didn't even offer a defense beyond claiming he "never met her" and she wasn't "his type." But there are photos of them together, and Trump mistakenly identified Carroll as his second wife. So obviously he met her and she was his type. Trump is a bad liar, but what he lacks in imagination he makes up with volume. The man can't open his mouth without some kind of calumny ir mendacity spilling out. There is absolutely no indication that Carroll is crazy. However, listening to Trump's weird word salad it's clear that he has a few screws loose.

So you want to blame that bridge collapse on...who exactly? Because we have all seen the video; the lights going out on the ship; the impact with the bridge support. Biden is good, but it sounds like you want Superman for president.

If you want to go after oligarchs, there are some right here in the good old USA that could use a licking. I'm talking about the owners of the corporations who took advantage of the choked supply chain to jack up their prices way beyond reason and left them in the stratosphere just because they could. But don't believe me; just look at their quarterly profit and loss statements. For the profiteering robber barons, the pandemic was a windfall -- a gift that keeps on giving.

You appear not to have watched the J6 Select Committee hearings, or read the indictments, or know that, except under Trump, federal prosecutors don't bring charges unless they have the evidence to convict. Well, happily, it doesn't matter what you think, because 5 grand juries in 4 different jurisdictions heard enough credible evidence to indict the orange foolius. But you don't really need to know that. Just look at how Trumpty Dumpty is reacting. An innocent man would want to clear his name, and have his day in court as soon as possible. But Don Poorleon only seeks to delay, delay, delay. He knows he's guilty and when a trial jury hears the evidence, he's toast!

The J6 select committee was an absolute debacle. A waste of tax dollar's. Its only redeeming feature was exposing Mcain & the other RINOs who testified as establishment shills.

@Seriousreason The incitement was not just on the stage of the Ellipse, but also the two months of claiming the election had been stolen that preceded January 6th. And yes. Trump did say "peacfully" once. He also used the word "fight" 13 times in the same speech.

Trump brought more than 60 lawsuits claiming electoral fraud, and lost them all.

Trump's own Cyber Security Czar says it was the "cleanest election in history."

Trump's own Attorney General says Trump's claims of electoral fraud are "bullshit."

Trump called the mob to Washington on the 6th. They came because they believed his lies about the election.

Trump sat on his fat ass watching the violence at the Capitol on TV and did nothing to stop it. Instead, he threw gasoline on the fire with a tweet that put his own VP's head in a noose. White House staff tried to get him to call off his dogs, and he refused for 3 hours.

Well in advance of the 6th Trump had slates of fake electors ready to go, ready for Pence to steal the election for him. Failing that, Trump had minions in the house and senate ready to throw up enough smoke to have Congress declare the results invalid, thus giving it to the state legislatures to decide. And failing that, he had his MAGA mob there to shut the whole joint session down, again leaving it up to the states. And with a majority of them controlled be Republicans, Trump would be declared the winner. It almost worked. Trump almost pulled 9ff his coup. But he didn't count on his VP and members of Congress being so stalwart. They stood pat and completed their constitutional duty. Trump underestimated them, because he figured they would do what he would do under the same circumstances: turn tail and run. Like most bullies, behind the tough talk he's really just a quivering coward. Nancy Pelosi has more moral courage in her little finger than Trumpty Dumpty has in his whole bloated carcass.

Pretty much everything Trump touches turns to shit. The only thing he has ever succeeded at was playing a successful business man on TV. Funny how "reality" TV is anything but real.

Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that I'm wrong about all this. Let's say Trump is actually innocent. Then why doesn't he ask for a speedy trial to clear his name as quickly as possible? Why would he rather go through the entire campaign season and election with this cloud hanging over him? An innocent man would want his day in court. Hell, it should be a cakewalk for him. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. And the bar for conviction is high: unanimous agreement beyond a reasonable doubt. Yet all Trump does is delay, delay, delay.

What a hateful thing to say after his violent insurrection to wish harm or death on fellow Americans. Such a vile little weasel.

The problem is the large minority who feel a bloodbath and a one Party Christian government are exactly why they want. They have been laying in wait for a con man messiah for almost a century and feel now is their time. Unfortunately, they have been patiently putting their followers in position to take over: a majority in the Supreme Court, a majority in the House and a significant minority in the Senate. Not to mention control of many key positions in many state governments that have the availability to control the actual election process. Remember, anything they say the Left is doing is a strong indication of what they are up to. When they are yelling the election is rigged leading up to November, it will be because they are rigging it.
