I know, I'm not very good at sharing post or coming up with some deep philosophical crap. I'm just a lonely 30 yr old mom. Wanting contact with the world. I have nobody. No friends or family. Just me and my son. Ok I have a brother but he's well... typical brother ?

It's at best a lovely way to find like-minded people and there are good friends to be found on this site, at its worst it's a distraction from everyday 'humdrum', a bit if fun!!

Hello lonely mum, from a lonely grandmum in Australia. I was a single mum too and oh boy it was tough. Don't try to get into D & M's (deep and meaningfulls) just check out what people are posting, read full text and if you're inclined, post a comment. I've been on this site for less than a month - and it's been good for me. I don't feel so alone anymore. Stick with it babe - you'll get there

Hi Manda,
You have me now. A community, however distant is still that. Hold your head up, you are doing an important job and you are not alone now.

Hi mandabear, relax enjoy reading and socialising here. I've not been here long but it's friendly and no one harasses others. I've made a few new friends and I'm quickly becoming addicted to the nice people here 🙂

Deepness not required, I can personally testify. There are plenty of categories herein that deal with relatively mundane matters, join in at your discretion and pleasure. Welcome to the community.

How old is your boy?

He's 2

@Mandabear, fun age. You can really begin to see them learning all about everything at that age, and learning language skills.

Welcome to the community, hope you enjoy it. Just give it some time, and things will start looking brighter.

It took me a while to get involved on this site, too. I started by reading other people's posts, then I started clicking some Likes. Later, I started adding simple comments such as "I agree" or describing a similar experience. Other people started responding and liking my comments and being very supportive. Now I feel part of this community.

When my daughter was young, I used to look for volunteer activities we could both jelp with, such as roadside cleanups. I also looked for free activities at the library. (My brother hasn't spoken to me since 1985.)
